Luxury car sales of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam grow 70% in 2008 Auto sales up 37% in 2008 By Quoc Hung - The Saigon Times Daily HCMC - Mercedes-Benz Vietnam (MBV) late last week announced its sales results in 2008 with 2,119 vehicles sold (including complete built-up units). The company said 978 luxury passenger cars were delivered to customers, an impressive growth rate of 70% compared with 2007. "Considering the tough market conditions in the second half of 2008 and many tax changes, this is a very good result," said Udo Loersch, general director of the company, adding, "We see clearly that the Vietnamese market, especially the luxury segment, still has potential to develop."
