Speaking at the ceremony, Dang Quoc Van, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Culture and Sports, acknowledged that the sets of lithophone hold precious musical values, presenting cultural life of ethnic groups in the province. After the reception, the sets were handed over to the provincial museum for display and further preservation. Besides, the museum will study and compile a dossier to recognize the instruments as national treasures. In 1977, in Doc Gao (To Hap, Khanh Son district), a man named Bo Bo Ren discovered 12 pieces of stones in different sizes and shapes which could produce musical notes when hit. Defense Minister Phan Van Giang holds talks with RoK counterpart
On March 28, an official welcoming ceremony was held for the Vietnamese Defense Minister and the delegation with 19 series of cannon shots at the RoK Defense Ministry’s headquarters. After the reception, the two defense ministers held talks. The RoK defense minister warmly welcomed his Vietnamese counterpart and military delegation, while highly appreciating the sound relations between the two countries over the past time, especially the increasingly intensive and effective defense relations. Australian enterprises, participating in the Australia-Vietnam Energy Transition Business Forum held in Hanoi on Tuesday, said they are willing to help Vietnam develop systems and equipment to produce large energy-storage batteries domestically to reduce their prices. The market's benchmark VN-Index on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) rose 2.04 points, or 0.19 per cent, to close Wednesday at 1,056.33 points. The index inched higher, despite the fact that there were more stocks performing poorly, thanks to gains of large-cap stocks, and marked its seven days of the rally. Vietnamese banks urged to embrace green financing
What is the role of banks in green growth? Banks will have a crucial role in driving green growth in Vietnam. One of the main roles will be enabling project financing. Billions of dollars worth of investments will flow into the renewable energy sector over the next few years. Banks will help facilitate that flow. This is critical moving forward. Over the past five years, Vietnam has issued $220–230 million of green bonds. On a cumulative basis, three other countries, namely Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia, have issued over $40 billion of green bonds in the same period. The issuance of those bonds is done by banks. What we've observed in these countries is the setup of a clear regulatory framework that provides the ability to issue those bonds on a larger scale.
