The survey questioned nearly 10,000 firms and more than 233,400 workers in the southern economic hub to assess the local labour quality and demand in the past three months. The flights connecting Hà Nội to Hong Kong will be officially operated from December 22, 2023, with seven return flights per week. This is Vietjet's fourth route connecting Hong Kong with the largest cities in Việt Nam, after HCM City, Đà Nẵng, Phú Quốc-Hong Kong routes. Air passenger surges 20% in first nine months
Passengers at Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport in HCM CIty. — VNA/VNS Photo Hồng Đạt The number of passengers travelling by air in the first nine months of the year increased by 20 per cent compared to the same period in 2022, reaching 89 million, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Việt Nam (CAAV). Among these passengers, the number of international travellers hit 23.7 million, representing an extraordinary growth rate of 267 per cent compared to the same period in 2022. Domestic passengers amounted to 65.2 million, marking a modest decrease of 4 per cent over the same period last year. Between January and September, Vietnamese airlines carried 44.1 million people, a year-on-year increase of 20.3 per cent. Of the total, there were 11.5 million international passengers, up 300 per cent from 2022. Labour ministry proposes delay of 2024 regional minimum wage increase

(Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) has proposed delaying a salary negotiation meeting until the fourth quarter of 2023 because there is not enough scientific and practical basis to propose a time to adjust the regional minimum wage . Accordingly, MOLISA has sent an official dispatch to the Government Office to delay the submission of the decree stipulating the minimum wage for employees working under labour contracts. The ministry was assigned to develop the decree and submit it to the Government in October 2023. MOLISA said that the economy in the second quarter and the first months of the third quarter this year has shown signs of improvement.
