Ninh Binh infuses cultural elements into OCOP products
Bo Bat pottery items are a signature product of Yen Thanh commune in Yen Mo district, Ninh Binh province. In order to produce items that are more unique and relevant to the province’s historical and cultural values, local artisans have added images of tourist attractions and historical relic sites in the province, including temples worshipping King Dinh Tien Hoang and King Le Dai Hanh and the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, among others. Bo Bat pottery items are among various products promoted under the OCOP programme, which gives these products a good name. This not only helps craftsmen and traders, but also promotes the historical and cultural values of the province at large. Samsung to build 7th ‘hope school’ in Vietnam’s Binh Phuoc Province
The latest school within the ‘Samsung Hope School’ project will be built in southeastern Vietnam’s Binh Phuoc Province following a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between South Korea’s Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co. Ltd. (SEV), local authorities, and relevant agencies. The MoU was inked on Tuesday between the project’s investor, SEV, and the administration of the province’s Dong Xoai City, the provincial Department of External Affairs, and the Korea Food for the Hungry International (KFHI), as a continuity of the project to provide comprehensive learning and development opportunities for children throughout Vietnam. Tourist arrivals to Quang Binh see 2-fold rise during nine months

(Photo: VNA) Quang Binh (VNA) – The central province of Quang Binh, dubbed the “kingdom of caves”, welcomed over 3.6 million tourist arrivals in the first nine months of 2023, soaring 2.32-fold year on year, reported the provincial Department of Tourism. It attracted more than 3.5 million domestic visitors while the number of international arrivals shot up over four-fold to 89,380 during the period. Revenue from accommodation services topped 454 billion VND (18.6 million USD), up 1.35-fold from a year earlier, statistics showed. Samsung Hope School to be built in Binh Phuoc province
The document was inked by the People’s Committee of Dong Xoai city in Binh Phuoc province, Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd., and the Korea Food for the Hungry International. Choi Joo Ho, General Director of Samsung Vietnam, said 2023 marks the 10th year of the Samsung Hope School project in Vietnam, which have come to different provinces like Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang and Lang Son, benefiting more than 5,000 disadvantaged children. Hanoi surpasses annual employment target, creating 171,200 jobs
Hanoi aims to create 162,000 jobs this year. Hanoi employers have added 171,200 jobs so far this year, which represents 105.7% of the annual plan, according to the Hanoi Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs. On September 16, Quang Nam chose India as the first destination of its first provincial tourism promotion programme since the pandemic, opening the door for further activities set to take place elsewhere in the coming months.
