Team captain Do Hung Dung was the home team’s hero for scoring the match’s only goal in the 70th minute. The victory helped Vietnam overcome their Myanmar rivals to top Group A with seven points after three games. Meanwhile, Myanmar moved down to the third spot behind Indonesia, who defeated the Philippines 4-0 earlier the same day. (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam’s wushu team had a successful day on May 15 after six out of seven athletes secured gold medal in the SEA Games 31 ’s wushu sanda events held at Hanoi’s Cau Giay Gymnasium. Ngo Thi Phuong Nga defeated Rosalina Simanjuntak from Indonesia 2-0 in the finals of the women’s 52kg. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy outlasted Indonesia’s Melisa Try Andani with a similar score to champion the women’s 56kg. Nguyen Thi Trang bagged another gold after winning 2-1 against a Myanmar opponent in the women’s 60kg. In the men’s events, Bui Truong Giang, Truong Van Chuong and Nguyen Van Tai all claimed an absolute victory in the 60kg, 65kg and 70kg events, respectively. SEA Games 31: Vietnam advances to semifinals after victory over Timor Leste

(Photo: VNA) Phu Tho - Vietnam’s U23 football team secured a berth in the semifinals of SEA Games 31 after winning 2-0 against Timor Leste in its final Group A match at Phu Tho’s Viet Tri Stadium on May 15. In this game, coach Park Hang-seo gave the chance for many young players, such as centre defender Duy Cuong, midfielders Trong Long and Cong Den, and strickers Thanh Minh and Van Tung while most of the key players were put on the bench. Despite dominating the game, Vietnam struggled to score in the first half, which saw them draw 0-0 with Timo Leste. In the second half, Le Van Xuan crossed a ball to Van Tung, who opened a goal for Vietnam in the 52th minute. Decisive factors Cybersecurity plays an important role in accelerating the national digital transformation process. According to Trinh Ngoc Minh, a member of the Executive Committee of Vietnam Information Security Association’s (VNISA) southern branch, Vietnam has significantly improved its data privacy protection capabilities and was listed among the top 25 countries and territories (out of 194) in the 2020 Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI). Minh said investment and interest in Vietnam's cybersecurity have been growing, with spending in this field increasing 50 percent and numerous domestically developed information security products put into use.
