A chief executive at Sasco, the largest service provider at Ho Chi Minh City's Tan Son Nhat airport, said passengers should sympathize with the firm, as the poor service they have complained about is the result of both subjective and objective causes. The telecommunications industry, particularly the mobile phone sector, has seen the most significant price reductions over the first ten months of the year in its race in lure more customers, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO). Call charges during the January-October period were 12 percent lower than the average for the same period last year. These continued discounts are considered key to Vietnam ’s impressive development of its telecommunications industry over recent years.
