Father plans to sell kidney to save ill daughter
Hue said they had borrowed from everywhere they could think of and put the house up as collateral for loans. They still owe the hospital some tens of millions of VND. Hue even asked other people where he could sell his kidney to save his daughter. Dr Vuong Cong Toan said Phuong was admitted to the hospital on December 9. After she was diagnosed with encephalitis, she was transferred to the intensive care unit. Her condition has worsened with more seizures and longer coma hours. "We'll have to give her blood dialysis. Her treatment will cost VND200m (USD8,600) to VND300m more," he said. "She can be saved and return to her normal life. We really hope people will help her family."
