In his speech, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highlighted Vietnam's three messages on peace, stability and development. Firstly, he said, ensuring a peaceful and stable environment for cooperation and development is both an essential foundation and an ultimate target for sustainable and prosperous development of the world as well as each country and region. Vietnam upholds a holistic approach to issues related to peace, security and development, as peace is the foundation, solidarity and cooperation the driving force, and sustainable development the goal. Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen greeted Margaret Beazley, governor of Australia’s New South Wales, on Tuesday on the former’s working visit to the city to boost two-way partnership. New South Wales is Australia’s most populous state. Some 10,000 Vietnamese students are studying in New South Wales, whose capital city is Sydney. Ho Chi Minh City Party chief Nen said that the potential for cooperation between the city and Australian states, especially New South Wales, remains high. Artist Ngo Dong drew the scenes in the early morning in 2020 at Tao Dan Park, District 1. This is one among over 80 works by the artist displayed at the “Hien Thuc Da Chieu” (Multi-dimensional Reality) exhibition at the HCMC Museum of Fine Arts on May 20-30. The majority of the paintings are about life in the southern city where the artist has lived for more than 40 years. His painting “Nang Mai Trong Pho” (Early Sunlight On The Streets) was drawn in 2020. After realizing that his life has become more beautiful and tranquil 15 years ago, he switched from his initial style of surrealism to realism. “I threw all of my surrealist paintings away, except for those that were sold. I find myself best expressed through realism inspired by real lives,” he said. Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for a little while at a session of the Group of Seven (G7) countries summit in Japan’s Hiroshima on Sunday. The meeting took place at the G7 session themed ‘Toward a Peaceful, Stable, and Prosperous World,' according to the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. PM Chinh at the meeting stressed that Vietnam attaches great importance to its traditional friendship with Ukraine. Commenting on the ongoing Russia-Ukraine military conflict, PM Chinh affirmed Vietnam’s consistent stance of respecting the UN Charter and international law, especially the principles of respect for independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of nations, without interference in internal affairs and with no use of force in international relations.
