It is not uncommon for Vietnamese Americans to return to Vietnam to start a business in their twenties or thirties. For many, this return to the motherland is more than just a chance at a new career, it is a chance to find the true meaning in life. Tony Ngo and Don Le are known for founding Everest Education, an institute in Ho Chi Minh City which offers math and English enrichment courses, test preparation, college admissions consulting, and private tutoring to students from grades 1 to 12. In just a few hours, more than VNĐ374 million ($16,000) was donated to a JustGiving page set up to pay for the body of Denver Barfield to be repatriated to his home in the UK. The 24-year-old from Leicester in the East Midlands, died after losing control of the motorcycle he was riding from Hội An City to Điện Bàn township in the early hours of Monday morning. Another UK national, Beth Thompson, believed to have been from the Essex area of the UK, also lost her life in the accident. The 24-year-old after graduating from Aston University in the UK. They are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, among them are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness,” and the spirit of which had been echoed in Vietnam’s Declaration of Independence penned by the late President Ho Chi Minh. The Vietnamese founding father since the very beginning of the modern Vietnam had expressed the desire to set up equal, comprehensive relations with the US in his letter sent to US President Harry Truman in 1946. The Vietnam-US relations have gone through so many vicissitudes and breakthroughs to achieve so much since the two nations officially normalized their ties in 1995. Truong Hung Long, director of the Department of Debt Management and External Finance under the Ministry of Finance, spoke with Vietnam News Agency about the issues. The Prime Minister has just approved a project to improve the national credit rating by 2030. The Department of Debt Management and External Finance is assigned to develop and implement the project. What will the department do to fulfil this task? The Government issued Decision 304/QD-TTg on February 6, 2013 to approve a project on improving the national credit rating.
