A plane of Vietnam Airlines (Source: VNA) Quang Binh (VNA) – The Vietnam Airlines Corporation is planning to raise the flight frequency between Hanoi and Dong Hoi city of central Quang Binh province to meet growing travel demand, according to the provincial People’s Committee. From August 1 to October 29, seven flights will be added to each of the Hanoi - Dong Hoi and Dong Hoi - Hanoi routes every week. That will bring the total number of the firm’s round-trip flights between the two destinations to 21 per week, including 14 flights operated by Vietnam Airlines and seven by Pacific Airlines. The People’s Committee said the corporation has been effectively operating the route linking Hanoi and Quang Binh, which has helped facilitate air travel and contributed to local tourism development. Viettel Telecom launched tracking device vTag to help customers locate and monitor children, valuable objects and personal items. — Photo courtesy of Viettel Viettel Telecom has officially launched a tracking device called vTag, which Viettel hopes can compete with Apple's AirTag. The device has features such as real-time positioning, travel history, SOS alert, a warning when leaving preset zones (Geo-fencing), and is water/dust resistance as per IP67 standard. vTag is a tracking device that uses the technologies of NB-IoT and GSM to locate and monitor children, valuable objects and personal items. Nguyen Trong Tinh, deputy general director of Viettel Telecom, said that vTag uses GPS satellite technology and mobile signals to help track objects. Defense ministry to hold scientific seminar reviewing Tay Bac Victory
At the conference, the Steering Board agreed to choose the theme of the seminar as “The Northwestern Victory in 1952 - Historical stature and lessons learned.” The seminar is scheduled to take place in mid-October in Yen Bai city, Yen Bai province. Up to now, the Institute of Military History, the standing organ of the Steering Committee, has collaborated with relevant units and agencies to prepare for the seminar. National master planning needs changes in development thinking for breakthrough
Until now, only seven out of 111 planning documents have been approved, including those on national land use and only 4 national industry planning pieces in the transportation field. It is obviously illogical since land is a valuable national resource and should be allocated to best promote the national competitiveness as well as the regional geographic advantages after identifying specific regional industry planning. He took the planning of Lien Chieu Port in Da Nang City as an illustration. It is too hard to transform this port into an international-scaled one no matter how much the local authorities wish for it to come true. Meanwhile, Chan May Port on the other side of Hai Van Pass is a more suitable place for this purpose. Considering the regional competitive advantage, it would be much better to invest in turning the latter port into an international one and building a railway to connect it to neighboring areas.
