(Photo from the organiser) Hanoi (VNA) - The Hanoi’s People’s Committee has chosen the final design for Tran Hung Dao bridge , which will cross Hong (Red) River and connect three urban districts of the capital city, after three months of consideration. The final design was the one that won the first prize in a design contest held by the city’s Transport Construction Investment Project Management Board and the Vietnam Association of Architects last October. According to the design, the main bridge will be 900m long with six spans. The project will have a total length of about 5.5km, connecting the districts of Hoan Kiem and Hai Ba Trung to Long Bien district on the northern bank of the Red River. Ministry asked to issue regulation to amend drugs, medical equipment shortage
After yesterday’s meeting of the Standing Committee of the Government, chaired by the Prime Minister, about the socio-economic status of Vietnam in the first 6 months, the Government Office released a formal dispatch on addressing shortages of drugs and medical equipment. Based on the reports of the Planning & Investment Ministry, the Finance Ministry, and opinions from other delegates, the Standing Committee of the Government has delivered a request for MoH to cooperate with the Finance Ministry and related ministries, state agencies to review all applicable regulations on drug and medical equipment purchase, social resource mobilization in this matter, public-private collaboration in the healthcare field. MoH then has to issue regulations, instructions within its power to immediately tackle the current shortages of drugs, medical equipment at various healthcare institutes before July 4 in order to satisfy the demands of the public regarding medical treatments. HCMC completes first phase of developing shared databases
DoIC is working with World Bank to host a conference on developing a data strategy for HCMC from 2022-2025 https://data.hochiminhcity.gov.vn . The accessible databases here include electronic version of official documents and information on businesses and household businesses, secured transactions, house use right or land use right registration, hospitals, job certificates, schools and universities, educational services, foreign investment projects, public investment projects, market prices of essential commodities. DoIC is launching a virtual assistant service to aid officials to use these databases effectively for administrative procedure completion.
