A little girl has become an Internet sensation on Vietnamese social media after a video capturing her translating for her mother and a Vietnamese taxi driver went viral. In the video posted on Facebook by her mother last weekend, Swar Mnemosyne Ricafort, 6, translated her mother’s instructions for a Vietnamese taxi driver to reach a destination on Hai Ba Trung Street in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Gigi, her mother, is a Filipina who has been living in Vietnam for almost six years. “The taxi driver did not understand what I said so I asked her to translate. Before that time, Minh had been working for a Japanese company based in the capital’s Thang Long Industrial Park for four years.
