Shon was speaking at a meeting between Korean business executives and city officials late last week organised by the People’s Committee and Korean consulate general in the city. The meeting was held to review the performance of Korean enterprises and for the city officials to listen to their problems and offered solutions. The problems discussed included some related to labour, with Shon saying a number of businesses complained about difficulties in obtaining work permits for foreign workers. HCMC pledges to facilitate enterprises to increase value in SHTP

(Photo: SGGP) At the conference, Mr. Phan Van Mai, Chairman of the HCMC People's Committee, said that the city wants to listen to the opinions of investors, including their proposals, for authorities to prepare the legal frameworks, orientations, and conditions for enterprises to develop in the future. “Besides attracting new investments, we also need to restructure existing ones. The city is responsible for creating the space, legal framework, and conditions to support enterprises to increase the value of projects," Mr. Phan Van Mai emphasized. Since its establishment in 2002, SHTP Management Board has granted investment registration certificates to 163 projects, with a total investment capital of over US$12 billion. Wink Hotels holds ambition to create a revolution in the hotel industry

Michael Piro, CEO of Wink Hotels, said that after the first Wink hotel with 237 rooms opened in HCM City early last year, the second hotel is expected to open in November this year in the central Da Nang City with 243 rooms. There will be another Wink hotel expected to welcome visitors next summer in this coastal city. In Ha Noi, two hotels will be built on Thuy Khue and Pham Hung streets as well as others in Phu Yen, Can Tho and Hai Phong. Bosch opens ‘Bosch Transmission Lab’ at HCMUTE
The 90,000 euros (around VND2.5 billion) lab is intended to support research projects, in the field of future mobility. The facility is equipped with Continuously Variable Transmission models and test benches, a practice room for intensive research, and other supporting teaching and training tools and machinery.
