White-legged shrimp are raised in two stages in ponds whose beds are covered with plastic sheets and surfaces with anti-sunshine nets. The ponds are also equipped with fans and pumps to generate oxygen for the water. In the first stage, juvenile shrimp are bred in a smaller pond for about three to four weeks before being transferred to the main pond for intensive breeding in the second stage. More than 10,000 objects and pictures highlighting the development of the coffee industry over stages from the ancient time to medieval and feudal periods and at present are put on display.
