Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade is actively implementing a lot of supporting industry development programmes, given the great importance of supporting industries. Russia’s AVG Capital will develop a complex of pig farms in Thanh Hoa Covering an area of 1,000 hectares, the complex is designed to produce five million pigs a year. Allianz Risk Barometer 2021: Pandemic outbreak overtakes Business Interruption as top business risk in China
The Covid-19 crisis continues to represent an immediate threat to both individual safety and businesses, reflecting why pandemic outbreak has rocketed 15 positions up to #2 in the global rankings at the expense of other risks. Prior to 2021, it had never finished higher than #16 in 10 years of the Allianz Risk Barometer, a clearly underestimated risk. However, in 2021, it's the number one risk in 16 countries and among the three biggest risks across all continents and in 35 out of the 38 countries which qualify for a top 10 risks analysis. Enterprises yet to make use of EVFTA when exporting agricultural products to EU
According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Toan, Director of the Agro Processing and Market Development Authority under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), every year, the EU imports agricultural products with a total value of about US$160 billion. Vietnam has many dominant commodities, but some products have not made the most of the advantages from the EVFTA to export to the EU. For instance, Vietnam is the world’s largest cashew nut exporter, but it has not yet benefited from exporting processed cashew to the EU market. Despite the advantage of a quota of 20,000 tons, the cane sugar industry has not had any optimistic signals yet. Honey exports to the US are the highest, followed by China and Japan, but honey exports to the EU remain modest.
