Vietnam is the second fastest-growing digital economy in the world, following India, and has the fastest e-commerce growth in Southeast Asia, Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang said at the Vietnam Connect Forum 2023 held in Da Nang on Friday. According to the deputy prime minister, Vietnam has recorded an average digital economy growth rate of 38 percent per year over the past few years. Indonesia makes up 40% of digital transaction value in Southeast Asia

The value of these transactions in Indonesia in 2022 grew 22% compared to the previous year, OJK chief executive Ogi Prastomiyono said on March 16. Singapore promotes instant payment system connectivity in Southeast Asia

To enhance cross-border payments, the BIS Innovation Hub Singapore Centre developed the Nexus concept of a first-of-its-kind multilateral network connecting multiple domestic instant payment systems (IPS).
