The task force of VNU-HCMC began its work in USSH on March 4. Therefore, in pursuance of Point C, Clause 2, Article 25 of the Press Law, USSH temporarily stops providing related information to the press. According to Mr. Tran Nam, Head of the Communications and Public Relations Department of USSH, his university strictly observed the procedure to process a complaint, from mediation, formal dialogue, to instruction on sending an official complaint to the Management Board for a feasible solution. However, USSH did not receive any formal complaint from concerned lecturers. Instead, these teachers directly sent their complaint to the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam (GIV). After receiving the forwarded complaint from GIV, USSH immediately established a task group to handle the case in accordance with regulation. The 12 lecturers have then sent their complaint for the second time to GIV, which transferred it to VNU-HCMC. USSH issued a formal criticism to the Dean of the Korean Studies Faculty for the weakness in management tasks, along with a request to adopt a proper solution to tackle this problem. The university also criticized the 11 lecturers because of their lack of respect towards USSH and certain wrong details of the objective truth in their complaint, negatively affecting the organization’s reputation. USSH proposed to transfer these lecturers to another more suitable department, yet these people unilaterally terminated their work contract. Therefore, the university agreed to their request and offered detailed instruction on the procedure to ensure employee’s rights. Simultaneously, USSH is hiring visiting lecturers and recruiting new ones so that the operation and training of the Faculty is properly maintained, minimizing the adverse effects of this incident on learners. Danang calls for investment in 10 projects in next five years Tien Sa Port in Danang City. Reportedly, in the Northwest region, there are many large investment projects, including Japan’s Mikazuki hospitality complex and new residential areas named Golden Bay, Thuy Tu, Golden Hills and the cluster of the Danang High-tech Park and the Information Technology Park. In addition, Danang is also calling for investment for Lien Chieu Port in this area. This project has a total investment capital of nearly VND7,400 billion (including State and private investment), developing two initial berths, capable of receiving general ships, bulk cargo with 100,000 tons and container ships from 6,000 to 8,000 TEUs, ensuring throughput of goods from 3.5 to 5.0 million tons a year. The information was announced by Senior Lieutenant-General Tran Don, Deputy Minister of National Defense at a meeting with the south-central province's authorities Friday. In 2009, the government approved a plan to build Phan Thiet airport in beach town Phan Thiet of Binh Thuan, which lies more than four hours east of Ho Chi Minh City and currently has none. The plan said the airport would span 543 hectares (1,340 acres) to serve both civilian and military purposes and invested under the build-operate-transfer format by Hanoi-based Rang Dong JSC. It also said work would start in 2015 for the project to be finished in 2018. However, nothing had been carried out as scheduled. In 2017, Binh Thuan proposed to upgrade the civil rating of the planned airport from 4C to 4E as regulated by International Civil Aviation Organization. In specific, the province wanted to extend the airport's runway from 2,400 meters to 3,050 meters in order to raise its capabilities toward the 4E rating. The increased rating would allow it to handle Airbus A320s or equivalent sized and advanced military aircraft. The government agreed with the proposal within that year, which means the cost for the airport will stay at around VND10 trillion ($434 million). The problem with investment capital had prevented the plan to be executed. Now, the problem has been solved, said Deputy Minister Don. He said the Ministry of National Defense had previously relied on a plan to auction former Nha Trang airport in central Khanh Hoa Province to raise funds for building Phan Thiet airport. However, the government has recently agreed to build Phan Thiet airport using the state budget in the form of public investment. "The government has allocated the fund for the ministry and work on the joint-use airport should be carried out soon."
