(VEN) - Dong Nai Province has launched a range of development cooperation programs with cities and provinces nationwide, particularly with Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeastern region in the fields of industry, trade, tourism and infrastructure. The aim of these events is to exploit the potential of each area, making a contribution to socioeconomic development and spurring investment attraction. (VEN) - Pham Hoang Anh, the chairman of the Phung Hiep District People's Committee said that despite the fact that Phung Hiep is a purely agricultural district, it has obtained remarkable results in economic development, especially infrastructure, thanks to the implementation of specific solutions. The district's economy restructured towards trade and services, which made contribution to promoting industrialization and modernization. During 2005-2010, a 12.29 percent annual economic growth rate was recorded. Total investment capital for socioeconomic development in five years amounted to VND2.47 trillion, marking a 2.2 fold increase compared to 2011-2005, up 45 percent of the district's target.
