A conference for experts from Germany and Vietnam to analyze and discuss the potential of Vietnam’s just energy for local economic and labor growth took place in Hanoi on Wednesday. The “Just Energy Transition = Job Accelerator for Vietnam? German-Vietnamese perspectives on employment and skills needs,” hosted by the German Embassy in Hanoi on Wednesday, attracted nearly 200 delegates and 300 private attendees, according to press release issued by the embassy. “Just energy transition” typically refers to financing mechanisms that allow developed countries to fund clean energy initiatives in fossil fuel-dependent developing countries. Vietnam seeks to enhance trade with Brazil
Speaking with business executives during his official visit to the South American country Sunday, he said the trust and partnership between the two countries have been growing for almost 35 years since they established diplomatic relations and especially since 2007 when they formed a Comprehensive Partnership. Vietnam and Bangladesah have ample room for achieving stronger growth in their bilateral trade cooperation, as the two countries share many things in common, including being emerging economies with stable development, having large populations, markets, and sufficient human resources. In addition, a huge number of young people in the two countries are able to quickly embrace advanced technology and innovation trends, said Pham Viet Chien, Vietnamese Ambassador to Bangladesh, the Vietnam News Agency reported. The two countries need to effectively implement bilateral agreements and cooperation mechanisms in multiple fields, especially the Joint Committee on economic, culture, science and technology cooperation. Seminar shares international experiences in building smart cities
