The lion-cat dance team in Coc Lao village is one of six teams in Hoi Hoan commune in the border district of Van Lang. With a love for traditional culture , the dance team has attracted many members, especially children. Because the dance is believed to dispel bad luck and bring good luck and peace, families in Lang Son often invite a lion-cat dance troupe to perform in front of their house. In Hoi Hoan commune are 6 lion-cat dance teams with hundreds of members. After days of hard work, local people find joy in the dance, which has been handed down by their ancestors.
