Phong Nha- Ke Bang National Park tops most hospitable destination list in VN

This year's awards is based on verified results of more than 130 million reviews of tourists who ever rented rooms in the mentioned destination. Of which, more than 1.1 million reviews were collected from accommodation establishments in Vietnam. Following Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park in the list is Hoi An (Quang Nam), Ninh Binh, Sapa (Lao Cai) and Mai Chau (Son La). The Traveller Review Awards is part of Booking.com's annual appreciation program to recognize hospitality of partners based on rating scores of travelers after their vacation. International arrivals to Hanoi drop sharply during national days

The Hanoitimes - The number of tourists to Hanoi dropped 91.2% from April 30 to May 2 compared to the same period of 2019. During this year’s holiday season, Hanoi welcomed just 1,123 international tourists, a decrease of 97.7% compared to the same period of last year, data of the municipal Department of Tourism showed. Most of them have been stranded in the city due to the Covid-19 pandemic, according to the Immigration Management Division of the Hanoi Municipal Police Department. Total revenue from tourism reached VND68 billion (US$2.9 million) during the three days, down 84.4% inter-annually. From April 30 to May 3, the prices of hospitality services remained unchanged. The average occupancy of three- to five-star hotels reached about 13.4%. It's noteworthy that hospitality businesses around Hanoi, especially those in Son Tay and Ba Vi, saw demand for their services increase on the national holidays of April 30 and May 1, according to the Hanoi Tourism Department. As the social distancing order was loosened, many local residents wished to spend their leisure time at facilities near Hanoi. Some resorts in the city's outskirt reached occupancy rate of 65%, in the case of Asean Resort, or 60% of Tan Da and 30% of Khoang Xanh, the vacation spots nearby. Despite reopening before the holiday season of April 30 and May 1, shopping malls and catering facilities witnessed experienced a 90% drop in visitors from the same period of 2019. Vietnam records six new COVID-19 infections on March 6 evening Vietnam logged six new COVID-19 cases on March 6 evening, all in northern Hai Duong province, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control reported. All the new patients had been previously quarantined and are being treated at a COVID-19 treatment hospital in Hai Duong province. By the evening of March 6, Vietnam had recorded a total of 2,507 COVID-19 patients, including 1,584 domestically-transmitted cases. Up to 891 domestic infections have been detected since the third wave of outbreaks hit the country on January 27. The Treatment Subcommittee said that 1,920 patients have recovered from the disease to date, while the number of deaths related to COVID-19 was still kept at 35. Among active patients undergoing treatment, 65 tested negative to the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 once, 57 twice and 137 thrice. As many as 49,565 people who had close contact with COVID-19 patients or entered Vietnam from pandemic-hit regions are currently under quarantine nationwide, including 1,290 in hospitals, 14,199 in other establishments and 34,076 at home. In a bid to live safely with the pandemic, people should strictly follow the Ministry of Health’s 5K message: khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering) and khai bao y te (health declaration)./.
