Source http://soytecantho.vn The Department of Health in the Mekong Delta city of Cần Thơ this year plans to expand a model of family medical practice clinics to 27 more communes and wards. Family medical practice clinics aim to provide comprehensive and continuous health care services to each local individual and family in order to reduce overcrowding of patients at city or central-level hospitals. These clinics are located at health stations in communes and wards. Each commune or ward has one health station. Cần Thơ aims to equip more than 80 per cent of its 85 health stations with these clinics by 2020. Vinalines' port activity surges According to a VIR source, SP-PSA, a joint-venture port of Vinalines and Singapore-based PSA, saw its volume of bulk goods increase 32.7 per cent on-year to 1.54 million tonnes last year. Container throughput reached 67 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs). The port located in the Cai Mep-Thi Vai area of the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau made revenue of $3.07 million in the year, up 33.47 per cent on-year. SSIT, a joint venture between Vinalines and US-based Carrix/SSA, handled 3.8 million tonnes of goods during the period, doubling its 2015 volume. The port, also in Cai Mep-Thi Vai, reported revenue of over $5 million, up 85 per cent on-year. 2016 also saw business improvements at Cai Lan International Container Terminal (CICT), located in the northern province of Quang Ninh. One more Tan Son Nhat airport bus service launched Southern Airport Transportation Joint Stock Company (SATSCO) on May 19 launched Bus Route No. 49 using high-quality automobiles to shuttle passengers between Tan Son Nhat airport and downtown HCMC. Buses ply SATSCO's second such route from 5 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. and depart from the airport and the downtown every 15 to 30 minutes. The traveling time of the new shuttle bus service is 30 to 40 minutes, and fares cost VND40,000 per passenger. Yellow buses of the new route will stop at major hotels, the Notre Dame Cathedral, and the HCMC Opera House in the center of the city, instead of using public bus stops. SATSCO is working on a plan to develop more five-star bus services with free wifi and staff able to communicate in English.
