According to Forbes, as of December 13, 2019, the estimated assets of the self-made billionaire are around US$2.7 billion, which makes her also the only female Vietnamese in Forbes’ dollar billionaire list. Thuy An, Vietnam’s representative at Miss Intercontinental 2019, has taken part in the swimsuit segment of the ongoing global beauty pageant in Egypt. Thuy An is a 22-year-old from Kien Giang province and is currently a student at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. She stands at 1.68 metres tall with measurements of 83-65-89. Thuy An has previous experience competing in beauty contests, most notably having previously been awarded the second runner-up title during the 2018 version of Miss Vietnam. The Miss Intercontinental competition is one of the world’s most prestigious beauty pageants, alongside Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss International. Central Vietnam market presents seafood treasures
Originally called Khanh Hai, the Nai seafood market acquires its name from its location in the Nai lagoon, between the Ninh Chu and Tri Thuy bridges, in Ninh Hai District. This is the most famous seafood market in Ninh Thuan Province and is at its busiest in the afternoon, when boats with baskets of fresh seafood return from the sea. The market sells a variety of seafood, from mackerel scad and red snapper to shrimp and crab. Seafood sold here are both farm raised and caught at sea. Most sellers in the market are families of fishermen and traders in the area. When shopping at the Nai market, customers do not have to bargain because merchants are invariably friendly and honest. Depending on the variety, people can purchase lobster for a price of VND200,000-900,000 ($8.6-39) per kilo. Wild caught lobster costs the most, with a starting price of VND700,000 ($30) per kilo. Hà Nội becomes official member of UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network
HÀ NỘI — Chief Representative of the UNESCO Office in Việt Nam Michael Croft presented a certificate recognising Hà Nội as an official member of UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network to Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyễn Đức Chung at a ceremony in the capital on Friday. Chung said the participation in the network enabled Hà Nội to increase its competitiveness in investment attraction, stimulate urban regeneration, and develop education programmes and cultural events in association with sustainable development.
