The gold went to Pham Quoc Viet, Bui Anh Tuan and Nguyen Quang Tri who topped the men's poomsae (performance) team event. The women's team of Nguyen Thi Kim Ha, Truong Pham Phuong Khanh and Le Thụy Thu Van took the silver. Viet took his second medal with a bronze in the men's poomsae individual event. Duo Tri and Le Tran Kim Uyen secured a bronze in the mixed doubles poomsae. Earlier, the e-sport team finished third in the men's team Arena of Valor event after beating Brunei in the playoff match. The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) announced Diego Raul Giustozzi, a futsal World Cup winning coach, as the new head coach of the Vietnamese national futsal team at a ceremony held on August 9 in Hanoi. Diego Raul Giustozzi, a futsal World Cup winning coach, (third from left) is appointed as the new head coach of the Vietnamese national futsal team. Giustozzi, 44, is a former futsal player for Argentina who began a professional coaching career in the sport in 2013. His most notable success was leading Argentina to victory at the 2016 Futsal World Cup in Colombia after beating Russia 5-4 in the final.
