The ASEAN Para Games 2022 is a qualifier for athletes to win tickets to Paralympic Paris 2024. Some 155 Vietnamese athletes with disabilities will attend the 11th Southeast Asian Para Games (ASEAN Para Games 2022) in Indonesia next month, according to the General Department of Sports and Physical Training under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The Vietnamese delegation will include one guiding athlete, 18 coaches, two doctors, and 13 support personnel. The rest are Vietnamese parasports athletes who will compete in eight events: track and field, swimming, weightlifting, badminton, table tennis, chess, judo, and archery. On July 23, a departure ceremony will be held to see off the Vietnamese delegation at the National Sports Training Center in Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam has posted GDP growth of 7.72% in Q2 this year. (Photo: VNA) Hong Kong (VNA) – The Lianhe Zaobao daily in Hong Kong, China, on June 30 ran an article highlighting Vietnam’s impressive economic growth of 7.72% in the second quarter. It wrote that with export and consumption recovery, the Vietnamese economy rebounded strongly in Q2, with gross domestic product (GDP) increasing 7.72% year on year – the fastest pace in almost 11 years. This is expected to boost the GDP growth in the first half of 2022 to 6.42% from a year earlier, beyond the Government’s 5.5% expectation. Do Huu Vi Square is located on the intersection between Versailles Avenue and Quai Louis-Blériot, overlooking the Radio France headquarters and Grenelle bridge.
