Despite the prolonged pandemic, the domestic dairy market still reached VND113.7 trillion in revenues in 2020 and VND119.3 trillion in 2021. The country produced about 1.77 billion liters of fresh milk in 2021, up 4.5 percent compared to 2020, while powdered milk volume saw positive growth of 13.1 percent year-on-year to 151,500 tonnes. Some 155 Vietnamese athletes to partake in ASEAN Para Games 2022
The ASEAN Para Games 2022 is a qualifier for athletes to win tickets to Paralympic Paris 2024. Some 155 Vietnamese athletes with disabilities will attend the 11th Southeast Asian Para Games (ASEAN Para Games 2022) in Indonesia next month, according to the General Department of Sports and Physical Training under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The Vietnamese delegation will include one guiding athlete, 18 coaches, two doctors, and 13 support personnel. The rest are Vietnamese parasports athletes who will compete in eight events: track and field, swimming, weightlifting, badminton, table tennis, chess, judo, and archery. On July 23, a departure ceremony will be held to see off the Vietnamese delegation at the National Sports Training Center in Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam-UK target US$10-billion trade turnover by 2023

Mr. Do Huu Vi (1883-1916) was a Vietnamese national, who was one of the first pilots of the French army. Although Do Huu Vi was Vietnamese, he made his career in the French air force and died in the Somme Bay during World War I. It wrote that with export and consumption recovery, the Vietnamese economy rebounded strongly in Q2, with gross domestic product (GDP) increasing 7.72% year on year – the fastest pace in almost 11 years. This is expected to boost the GDP growth in the first half of 2022 to 6.42% from a year earlier, beyond the Government’s 5.5% expectation. In the 100th People’s Financial Report released on June 27, the minister said to reduce inflationary pressures on the people, the government has provided various consumption subsidies consisting of petrol, diesel, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), cooking oil, flour and electricity. The projected consumption subsidies expenditure for 2022 is the highest amount of subsidies in history ever borne by any government, he added. Do Huu Vi Square is located on the intersection between Versailles Avenue and Quai Louis-Blériot, overlooking the Radio France headquarters and Grenelle bridge. Vi (1883-1916) fought and died in the Somme Bay during World War I. He was honoured by France as one of more than 300 people of diaspora with meritorious services to the European nation.
