Viet Nam is the second country in ASEAN to sign trade and investment deals with the European Union The Council of Ministers today approved the EU-Viet Nam trade and investment agreements, paving the way for their signature and conclusion, the press release says. EU Commissioner for Trade Cecilia Malmström and Romanian Minister for Business, Trade and Entrepreneurship Ștefan-Radu Oprea will represent the EU’s side at the signing ceremony. The agreements are set to bring unprecedented benefits for European and Vietnamese companies, consumers and workers, while promoting respect for labor rights, environmental protection and the fight against climate change under the Paris Agreement. In May, the purchasing price of tra fish continued to decline in the Cửu Long (Mekong) Delta region, especially An Giang and Đồng Tháp provinces, the two largest tra fish producers and exporters in the region, said the ministry. The tra fish price in the region dropped by VNĐ1,000 per kilo to VNĐ23,500-24,000 at the end of May and continued falling to VNĐ20,000-21,000 per kilo.
