The 2017 Hoi An International Food Festival, organized in the central province of Quang Nam, took place from March 22 to 26. During the event, the An Hoi Sculpture Garden was transformed into an outdoor kitchen, where 12 talented members from the World Association of Chefs Societies (Worldchefs) showed off their culinary expertise. The festival attracted a large number of locals and tourists who wished to witness the talented cooks in action and get a taste of food from different parts of the world. "Vietnam's tourist companies need to take immediate action, disseminate information and advertise their country more in Russia," said A. Schegortsov in an interview. From June 27 to July 5, a delegation of Russian tourist agencies, media and officials who are in charge of tourism in Russia arrived in Viet Nam to research Vietnam's tourist market. The research trip has been organised by Saigontourist and Prof Real - a Vietnamese tourist agency in Russia. A member of the delegation, A. Schegortsov said that the most popular tourist destinations for Russian people are Turkey, Egypt, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, China and India because the countries have good advertising campaigns, simple customs procedures and tourist staffs with knowledge of Russian tourists.
