Russian tourist arrivals to Vietnam reached 250,000 this year, ranking among the top leading tourist arrivals to Vietnam for the second consecutive year, according to the latest figure released by Vietnam National Administration of Tourism. Russian tourists are lured to visit Vietnam because of charming beaches, beautiful landscapes, friendly people, and healthy food, said the Association of Tour Operators of Russia. Many Vietnam ’s tour operators have recently developed and upgraded favourite destinations for Russian visitors such as Binh Thuan, Khanh Hoa, Da Nang and Quang Nam. They have also designed tours for Muslim tourists. Vietnam has reformed administrative management in a bid to create fast and easy procedures for foreign tourists to come to Vietnam. VietNamNet Bridge – On May 29, a Russian tourist named Oksana Pavlova posted on her personal Facebook page photos of a beach covered by rubbish. The beach is said to be in Mui Ne of Binh Thuan province. In this post, Oksana Pavlova wanted the Vietnam authorities to see her pictures and do something to clean the beach. The photos were instantly shared on social networks and published online. Upon receiving the information, Chairman of Binh Thuan province asked the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Phan Thiet City to check the information and verify the location. About 84,000 Russian tourists visited Vietnam in the first three months this year, a 50.8 percent rise from the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office.
