Profit targets within reach for domestic banks as 2019 draws to a close

Thanks to high profits in the first three quarters of the year, many banks are close to reaching their yearly targets, while others are positive that the busy fourth quarter will be enough to get them over the finish line. According to the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MBBank), the bank was on course to exceed its profit target. MBBank closed the first ten months of 2019 with pre-tax profit of more than 8 trillion VND (347.82 million USD), completing 96 percent of its annual target approved by shareholders in April. Becamex IDC sees big jump in 2019 profit

The company forecast total post-tax profit will reach VND1.7 trillion (US$73.7 million). Meanwhile, revenue will only exceed the year’s plan by 1 per cent to touch VND5.8 trillion. Becamex IDC targets its total revenue in 2020 at VND6 trillion and post-tax profit of VND1.76 trillion. The figures are up 3 per cent each from 2019 estimates. The results will allow the company to pay an 8 per cent dividend for both 2019 and 2020. Within this month, Becamex IDC will pour an extra VND706 billion into BW Industrial JSC to help increase the latter’s charter capital to VND4.9 trillion from VND2.65 trillion. Initially, in the 2019 State Budget, Indonesia targeted the budget deficit at 1.84 percent of GDP. Based on 2019 State Budget data, the government targeted to raise tax revenues to 1,557.5 trillion Rp. But, until October the realization of the tax revenues recorded around 1,000 trillion Rp.
