It had only 6,234 poor households, or 1.3% of the total number, as of the middle of last year, according to its Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs. A programme that provides soft loans to poor and near-poor people to do some business has been one of the major reasons for the significant and sustainable reduction in poverty. Tien Giang province rolls out plan to preserve craft villages

Hanoi takes drastic action to handle solid waste

Hanoi has taken drastic measures to boost the management of solid waste, which has not met the requirements of environmental protection, according to Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Natural Resources and Environment (DONRE) Mai Trong Thai.
