Vietnam among top destinations for South Korean visitors
Data from to South Korea-based KB Kookmin Card between January 1 – May 15 showed Taiwan, Vietnam, Japan and Thailand are particularly popular destinations for Korean tourists with the growth rates of 319%, 227%, 193% and 172% year-on-year, respectively. Japan and Vietnam - the two countries chosen by Korean tourists to visit the most, still show their attractiveness, with increases of 222% and 163% respectively. The number of air tickets to Vietnam booked by Korean tourists accounted for 12% of the total of air tickets for outbound tours, just after Japan with 52%. According to KB Kookmin Card, the booking rate of air tickets by Korean holiday-makers increased in all regions, with the highest growth recorded for Asia with a year-on-year surge of 192%. Before the final, the team surpassed more than 120,000 students from more than 2,000 universities in 74 countries and territories around the world to take part in the final. Huawei ICT Competition 2022-23 was held for the seventh time, recording the most significant organisation scale ever. Vietnamese florist wins silver at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2023
At this year's RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Vietnamese floral designer Cao Thi Huyen, also known as Rose Cao, won the silver medal in the floral arrangement category with her work 'Dance of light.' Huyen, living in Serbia, is the first Vietnamese woman to win the prize at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2023, according to the Vietnam News Agency. The RHS Chelsea Flower Show, officially known as the Great Spring Show, is a prestigious annual flower show organized by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).
