Bronze age artefacts found in Dak Nong
The Central Highlands province of Dak Nong has recently discovered numerous artefacts belonging to inhabitants dating back 3,500 years. According to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the artefacts were discovered during an excavation jointly conducted by the Dak Nong Museum and the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology in Village 12, Dak Sin Commune, Dak R’lap District early this month. Part of the artefacts found in Dak Nong (photo by My Hang) The objects include stone items such as axes, blade fragments, grinding tables, chisels and saws and around 6,300 pieces of pottery with a thickness of 0.5-0.8 cm. All of the artefacts obtained from the excavation process will be handed over to be stored at the Dak Nong Provincial Museum. According to the Foreign Investment Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), as of May 20, Vietnam had drawn 10.86 billion USD of foreign direct investment (FDI), down 7.3% year on year, including 5.26 billion USD of newly-registered capital, up 27.8%. Do Nhat Hoang, Director of the agency said that the increase in the amount of newly-registered capital in five months was higher than the 11% recorded in the first four months of this year. The moves come as part of the country's180-day action plan for IUU fishing prevention and control. Since the beginning of this year, the provincial Fisheries Sub-Department has coordinated with localities to organise six classes for 450 fishermen, especially those working on offshore fishing vessels and groups with a high risk of committing to IUU fishing. Viet Nam's natural rubber is the primary product exported to South Korea. Particularly, the SVR 10 accounted for the largest portion of the total exported rubber, 28.05 per cent, followed by SVR CV60 and SVR 3L with 24.53 per cent and 14.44 per cent, respectively. The drop in value is attributed to the sharp decrease in average export price of all types of rubber over the same period in 2022. Central bank demands stronger promotion of cashless payment

The move is also set to help with the plan on developing the application of resident data and electronic identification and authentication to serve national digital transformation for the 2022 - 25 period, with a vision to 2030. In its Document No 3956/NHNN-TT, the SBV asked banks, foreign banks’ branches, and intermediary payment service providers to continue considering and offering preferential programmes and policies on payment and intermediary payment service fees to customers, and exempt account maintenance fees as well as cash withdrawal fees for the customers entitled to the social security policy.
