The proposal was discussed in a meeting with the city's leaders and a delegation of the Australian Embassy and Australian investors seeking cooperation and investment opportunities in Hai Phong last week. The business representative said that the project would have a capacity of about 1,000MW in 30 years and would be expected to meet about 50 percent of the city's electricity demand, creating jobs for local workers. Entrepreneurs remain inspirations for Vietnamese youth According to the report, over 23 million (25 per cent) of the population are youth aged 16 to 30. Of them, 43 per cent want to become entrepreneurs, followed by working in the media and communications (37 per cent), education (22 per cent), technology (20 per cent), NGO and government (17 per cent), and financial sectors (11 per cent). Only a small proportion of the respondents seek careers in transportation (8 per cent) and energy (5 per cent). It is worth noting that while there is an increasing demand for digital skills in the country, these were the least cited among the skills that need development. Instead, around half of the young people surveyed would like to further gain self-leadership (53 per cent) and interpersonal skills (48 per cent). This is followed by reskilling in cognitive and advanced digital skills (37 per cent) and basic digital skills (28 per cent). Residents are cautious with scam spam messages related to recruitment notice. According to the PA05, people have recently received spam text messages for recruitment notices with remuneration of VND500,000 (US$21.6) to VND1,000,000 (US$43) a day. The police identified that it was one of the forms leading victims to actively contact with subjects and they can commit fraudulent acts of appropriating other people's properties. The scam tricks are often related to recruitment fraud notice, snatching virtual orders on e-commerce platforms to appropriate property, online investment, scamming victims to provide personal information, bank accounts to appropriate property and so on. Furthermore, some victims can be led to cross-border human trafficking rings.
