Sunwell Solutions, with eight years experience in providing human resources solutions, aims to increase opportunities for outstanding Vietnamese engineers working at Japanese firms and develop relations between Japanese employers and Vietnamese employees. Yoshioka Reito, a representative of Sunwell in Vietnam, stressed that although it has been established for nine years with highly technical staff, Sunwell is looking to expand its business to great customers, focusing on key fields such as information technology, automobile technology, and refinery projects. Mitsubishi plans to make electric cars in Viet Nam Japan’s Mitsubishi Corporation plans to invest in an electric automobile manufacturing factory in Viet Nam, said Executive Vice President Hiroshi Sakuma during a meeting with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue in Ha Noi on Wednesday. At the meeting, Sakuma said his firm was evaluating the feasibility of the project and look forward to new regulations on environmental protection taxes to promote investment in the country. Hue said Viet Nam’s National Assembly would soon discuss and pass the Law on Environmental Protection Tax. There would be incentives commensurate with environmentally friendly products. The Mitsubishi Corporation is currently investing in two BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) projects in Viet Nam, namely the Vung Ang 2 Thermal Power Plant (1,200 MW) and Vinh Tan 3 (1,980 MW) Power Plant. One more Tan Son Nhat airport bus service launched Southern Airport Transportation Joint Stock Company (SATSCO) on May 19 launched Bus Route No. 49 using high-quality automobiles to shuttle passengers between Tan Son Nhat airport and downtown HCMC. Buses ply SATSCO's second such route from 5 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. and depart from the airport and the downtown every 15 to 30 minutes. The traveling time of the new shuttle bus service is 30 to 40 minutes, and fares cost VND40,000 per passenger. Yellow buses of the new route will stop at major hotels, the Notre Dame Cathedral, and the HCMC Opera House in the center of the city, instead of using public bus stops. SATSCO is working on a plan to develop more five-star bus services with free wifi and staff able to communicate in English. HCM City needs VND2 trillion for flood control projects this year The Steering Center for Flood Control of HCMC (SCFC) has said the city will need at least VND2 trillion (US$89.8 million) to fund flood control projects this year. The center said that of the 56 projects planned for dealing with flood-prone streets in the city, a dozen projects would get underway this year and three would be completed by 2017. Eight projects were completed in 2015. Projects expected to reduce flooding at hotspots in the rainy season last year included a drainage system for Do Xuan Hop Street in District 9, improvement of a drainage system for the Kinh Duong Vuong Street section from Phu Lam to An Lac Roundabout, dredging Dong Tien Canal in District 12, the first phase of a drainage system improvement and pollution reduction project for Tham Luong-Ben Cat-Rach Nuoc Len Canal.
