(Photo: VNA Paris (VNA) – France has major advantages in various areas which are also those prioritized by Vietnam in its FDI attraction policy, said Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang at a seminar in Paris on June 23. Co-presided over by Ambassador Thang and President of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (CCIFV) Thibaut Giroux, the event aimed to promote trade and investment between Vietnam and France. Wet market 4.0 model launched in Da Nang

(Photo: VNA) Da Nang (VNA) – Traders at wet markets in the central city of Da Nang are now able to go cashless as they can use e-wallet mobile app Viettel Money under a 4.0 wet market model introduced on April 8. The new model was launched by the municipal Department of Industry and Trade and the Da Nang branch of military-run telecom group Viettel, aiming to accelerate digital transformation and use of the non-cash payment method at the city’s wet markets and provide more opportunities for local residents to experience modern payment services. Owners of over 1,000 stalls at Da Nang’s three major wet markets – Con, Han and Dong Da – have been provided with a QR code enabling users to make online payments through access with 37 banks and Viettel Money . Australia supports Vietnam build circular economy
The Plastics Innovation Hub aims to reduce plastic waste in Vietnam by driving collaboration and promoting using science and innovation. The hub is an initiative of Aus4Innovation – a development assistance program sponsored by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and managed by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) – Australia’s national science agency, in strategic cooperation with Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology. According to Mr. Kim Wimbush, Director of Aus4Innovation Program, scientific, technological and innovative solutions will support the Vietnamese government to reach its targets in dealing with plastic waste and building a circular economy.
