The five-year project was a collaboration between Hanoi Medical University (HMU), Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and Singapore International Foundation (SIF). During the project, a team of Singapore International Volunteers (SIV), comprising doctors, and nurse specialists from the TTSH’s Department of Renal Medicine, worked with their counterparts from HMU, as well as Bach Mai and Viet Duc hospitals and other dialysis centres in Hanoi. Vietnam attracting Japanese investments to new areas
Vietnam is striving to lure more Japanese investments to digital transformation and green growth, as recommended in the Vietnam-Japan Joint Initiative (VJI). Singapore’s CapitaLand in talks to buy Vietnam property assets from Vinhomes – sources
A deal of that size would mark one of the largest real estate transactions in Southeast Asia in the last few years. Discussions between CapitaLand, majority owned by Singapore state investor Temasek Holdings, and Vinhomes, which has a market value of $8 billion - have taken place for some projects owned by Vinhomes, four sources told Reuters . Vinhomes, Vietnam's biggest real estate developer by market capitalization, is part of Vingroup (VIC.HM), the country's largest conglomerate. One of the sources said CapitaLand is considering buying part of Vinhomes' Ocean Park 3 project, a 294-hectare resort city style development near the Vietnamese capital city of Hanoi, or another project in the northern city of Hai Phong. Ministries to devise measures for attracting int’l capital to PPP projects

This is among the tasks set by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha with regard to PPP investment activities, according to the Government Office. In particular, the MPI was asked to work with other ministries to review the enforcement of the 2020 law on PPP investment, as well as obstacles to the implementation of the Government’s Decree 35/2021/ND-CP, dated March 29, 2021, that guides the law enforcement. According to the General Statistics Office, the number of foreign individuals who come to Vietnam to make investments and implement their employment contracts or assignment has continuously increased in recent years, especially after Vietnam engaged in trade agreements and applied preferential policies for attracting foreign investment. Foreigners’ right to land In Vietnam, land use rights are granted to land users by the Vietnamese government on behalf of the landowner. Under the prevailing regulations, foreigners are not land users in Vietnam, and are not eligible for land allocation, land lease, or recognition of land use rights by the state. In the event that inheritance recipients of land use rights or ownership of houses and other property on land are foreigners, they are allowed to transfer them to other objects in accordance with Vietnamese Law. Vietnam’s Novaland appoints Malaysian as new CEO
Vietnamese property developer Novaland is continuing personnel changes as Dennis Ng Teck Yow has been named CEO of the firm from Friday to replace Nguyen Ngoc Huyen, who tendered his resignation in late 2022. Novaland, whose NVL shares are traded on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange, announced on Friday morning that the firm’s board of directors decided to select Dennis Ng Teck Yow, a native of Malaysia, as the new chief executive officer. He holds a master’s in banking and finance from the University of Hull in the United Kingdom. Yow is a housing industry veteran, previously working as general director at Gamuda Land Vietnam.
