He said that Cambodia currently has 1.5 million laborers, 80% of whom have joined trade unions. Their average income reaches 250 - 350 USD per month, he added. EU and France help Vietnam towards a green future

On May 11, Ambassador of the EU to Vietnam Giorgio Aliberti and AFD Director in Vietnam Fabrice Richy signed an agreement to enhance cooperation to improve resilience to climate change and natural disasters in Vietnam, moving towards a “green future”. Under the agreement, the EU will provide a non-refundable aid of 20 million EUR for AFD. Via coordination with central and local authorities, AFD will call on the Water and Natural Resources Management (WARM) Facility to prepare and launch projects co-financed by AFD’s loans and Vietnam’s resources during the 2011-2029 period with total estimated capital of 200 million EUR. Fast ground clearance enables Belt Road No.3 project to start on June 18

The board reported that so far, localities across the city have provided the investor with about 335 hectares out of the total 410 hectares of land for the project in the city. Director of the board Luong Minh Phuc said that along with ground clearance, the selection of contractors and consultant agencies is also making progress.
