Vietnam bolsters cooperation with E.U. and Hungary

During the talk, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son and E.U. High Representative Josep Borrell agreed to push up the bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and the E.U. on par with their potential and better meet the joint interests of both sides. Meanwhile, they consented to deepen the ASEAN – E.U. cooperation, and expand collaboration in various fields of energy, climate change adaptation, green transition, digital economy, and infrastructure. Also, the two sides exchanged views on international and regional issues of shared concern. The E.U. High Representative took note of Vietnam’s request to soon remove the European Commission’s “yellow card” on Vietnamese seafood exports for illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, and push for E.U. member countries to soon ratify the E.U.-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA). Vietnam pledges to create optimal conditions for Japanese investors: Deputy PM

He highly valued efforts by the two prefectures in holding cultural exchange activities with Vietnam, even during the pandemic, contributing to enhancing mutual friendship between people of both countries. Vietnam-US to have stronger trade relations

According to statistics from the General Department of Customs, the bilateral trade turnover between Vietnam and the US in 1995 was at US$450 million, and by 2021 it had increased to $111.6 billion, 248 times higher. In 2021, Vietnam exported $96.3 billion worth of goods to the US, up by 24.9 percent compared to 2020, accounting for 28.6 percent of the total export turnover of the country. As a result, Vietnam had a trade surplus of $81 billion, and the US continues to be Vietnam's number one trade surplus market, up by 27.9 percent compared to $63.4 billion in 2020. This has contributed to creating a new peak in exports and imports and prolonging the trade surplus for six consecutive years from 2016 until 2021. The launch of the 2021 Public Administration Reform Index and the Satisfaction Index of Public Administration Services. VNA/VNS Photo HÀ NỘI — The northern province of Hải Phòng and the Ministry of Justice topped the Public Administration Reform Index (PAR Index) of 2021, based on feedback collected from more than 79,000 people about administration reforms in 63 localities and 17 ministries in Việt Nam. The southern province of Kiên Giang and the Ministry of Science and Technology were at the bottom of the rankings. The results were announced on Wednesday by the Government’s Steering Committee on Public Administration Reform.
