Hanoi (VNA) - Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union (VFU) Central Committee Thao Xuan Sung has underlined the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) in building policies for agricultural development, as well as the decisive contributions by the agriculture sector to Vietnam’s GDP growth in 2020. Talking to the Vietnam News Agency on the occasion of the 13th National Party Congress, Sung affirmed that the agriculture sector has posted great achievements in productivity, quality, and value in recent years. Though results are not even across regions inside the country, Vietnam has risen to enjoy agriculture export surpluses with regional countries. Ha Long authorities vow to punish cheating tour operators
Ha Long People's Committee said they had read a complaint from Facebooker Linh Mai about poor service at OYO Hai Anh VIP Hotel. Mai said the hotel cancelled her booking without notification and there were signs that Hai Anh 10 cruise had increased prices illegally. On May 19, Mai's family booked two rooms from May 29 to 31. However, on May 29, Mai called the hotel and suddenly was told that her booking has been cancelled and no one wanted to take responsibility. On the following day, the family visited Ha Long Bay on the Hai An 10 cruise but complained that the prices were too high and the tour time had been cut short by an hour. They only had 30 minutes to visit Dau Go Cave. Vu Hong Son, vice chairman of Ha Long People's Committee, said after receiving the news, they had asked the Department of Culture and Information to work with the city police and related agency to investigate the accusations and report back by June 6. Prague (VNA) - Media reports in the Czech Republic have highlighted Vietnam’s rising position and recent development achievements, as well as the flourishing development of the traditional friendship between the two countries, on the occasion of the ongoing 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV). The online newspaper halonoviny.cz ran an article on January 25 emphasising that the Congress is one of the most important political events in 2021 for Vietnam, attracting interest internationally.
