The Ho Chi Minh City-Hong Kong service will commence operations on December 9, with one round-trip flight per day, according to Vietjet. Flight time for the trip will last 2 hours 45 minutes each way. The new route will depart daily from Ho Chi Minh City at 2:35 pm (local time) and arrive at Hong Kong International Airport at 6:20 pm (Hong Kong time). Chinese carrier Hong Kong Airlines Ltd. on Monday announced it had received permission to launch flights from Hong Kong to Vietnam's capital of Hanoi from April 25. The carrier will run seven flights a week using Boeing 737-800s, which will depart from Hong Kong at 5:55 pm and from Hanoi at 8:55 am on the 1 hour 45 minute journey.
