About 250 nautical miles from the shore, DK1 platform is a group of economic, scientific and technological service stations of Vietnam in the East Sea. On the minds of those who have contributed to the formation of the platform, DK1 retains a key role in developing the country’s marine economy and affirming national sovereignty. At a recent conference on “Domestic solid waste management in Vietnam’s urban areas: challenges and prospects” held by Paris Region Expertise, experts agreed that raising people’s awareness about sorting waste is a crucial and urgent task as nearly 13 million tonnes of garbage are thrown out each year in Vietnam. People’s awareness plays a key role in handling solid waste So far, the whole country has 228 urban areas housing nearly 34.7 million people, accounting for 35.92 per cent of the population. These are also the areas discharging the highest volume of waste. The MoT proposed assigning ACV to carry out key tasks at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport project In the document sent to the prime minister on capital mobilisation and the schedule of developing Tan Son Nhat International Airport project, the Ministry of Transport (MoT) said that if the project called for private investment, it would take nearly two years to carry out the procurement procedures to select investors. Accordingly, it is very difficult to improve the capacity of the airport to 50 million passengers by 2022, as the airport is already overloaded.
