VGP – Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh on January 6 held a phone talks with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry to discuss the bilateral relations and issues of regional and mutual concerns. The two sides initiated that 2015 was a successful year of the two nations’ bilateral relationship, consenting that the two sides need to closely cooperate to consolidate the relations and promote cooperation, making their Comprehensive Partnership more productive. The two leaders discussed issues in the Asia-Pacific, including the East Sea issue, supposing that the ASEAN-U.S. relations have made great progress in 2015, especially after establishing the Strategic Partnership relations. Vietnam, China foreign ministers hold phone talks
Nhan Dan/VNA - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on December 30 held phone talks to exchange New Year's greetings and views on bilateral ties. Hailing positive developments in the Vietnam-China relationship over the past year, the two sides agreed to enhance co-ordination in effectively implementing the common perceptions reached by high-ranking leaders of the two Parties and States. They were unanimous in their aspiration to foster the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic co-operative partnership to a new level of development in 2014. Phone talks among South Korea and Japan, China amid North Korea’s nuclear test
(VOVworld) – The Defense Ministers of South Korean and Japan during a telephone conversation on Friday condemned Pyongyang's nuclear test and pledged to increase tight cooperation to cope with the issue. Japanese Defense Minister Gen Nakatani and his South Korea's counterpart Han Min-goo agreed also agreed on information exchange on the situation concerning North Korea. The talk revealed the efforts by Seoul and Tokyo to enhance military coordination. The same day, during a phone talk with Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said China insists on a principle to make the Korean peninsula free of nuclear, maintain peace and stability there, resolve disputes via dialogues. Leaders of Vietnam, China discuss booting ties in phone talks
The leaders of the Communist Parties of Vietnam and China discussed measures to deepen friendly bilateral cooperation during their phone talks on Wednesday. During the talk, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping focused on strengthening high-level exchanges, implementing the two sides’ commitments, and stepping up coordination between the two Parties, agencies, and people, according to the Vietnam News Agency. The talk was made in the context of the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) and the 65th anniversary of Vietnam – China diplomatic ties. FM Minh hold phone talks with foreign counterparts
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh on May 16 talked on the phone with Indonesian Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa, Singaporean FM K. Shanmugam and Russian FM Sergei Lavrov. During the talks, Minh discussed measures to boost bilateral ties with the three countries, respectively. He informed the Foreign Ministers about the latest developments related to China’s rig Haiyang Shiyou 981, particularly China’s sending of a large number of vessels, including warships and missile-mounted escort ships, to Vietnam’s continental shelf and exclusive economic zone. The official emphasised that Vietnam strongly requests China to withdraw its rig and ships out of Vietnam’s waters. He took the occasion to inform the partners of Vietnam’s diplomatic efforts to ease the tension.
