No 3 seed Nam beat No 1 Daniel Cao Nguyễn 6-2, 6-4 in the all-Vietnamese men's singles final. It was the third time the two players have met, but the first time Nam has won. In the first two games Nam suffered quick losses to a rival who had highest world ranking in Southeast Asia. Nam became the first Vietnamese to take a SEA Games tennis gold, ending the nation's long-time title drought. Earlier, Savanna Lý Nguyễn pocketed a silver for Việt Nam in the women's singles category. She was defeated 6-0, 7-5 by No 2 seed Aldila Sutjiadi of Indonesia. HÀ NỘI – Popular singer Hoàng Thùy Linh been named Best Asian Artist Vietnam at the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) 2019. New supply from Hòa Phát Group’s Dung Quất steel project is likely to increase Hòa Phát's market shares in the domestic steel market. Photo tapchicongthuong.vn HÀ NỘI — Hòa Phát Group’s Dung Quất project will increase steel supply, leading to change market shares of steel firms on the domestic market, according to KIS Vietnam Securities Corporation (KIS). KIS said it will also increase competition among rival steel providers. The Dung Quất project will begin next year and will double output of steel products to 4.35 million tonnes per year in the first stage. With the current domestic market demand, the increase of supply (equivalent to 18 per cent of the total domestic market consumption) would cause short-term oversupply. KIS estimates that Việt Nam's long steel consumption growth will fall to 5.5 per cent because of weaker consumption comes in both export and domestic markets.
