The VinFuture Prize consists of four prestigious awards presented each year (Source: Vingroup) Hanoi (VNA) – A total of 1,389 nominations for the 2023 VinFuture Prize were submitted via the nomination portal for the third award season that officially concluded on May 15. The number of nominating partners has more than quadrupled compared to the first-year Prize; and 20% of this year's nominating partners are among the world's top 2% most-cited researchers. The 2023 VinFuture Prize's nominations come from respected scientists and organisations from 90 countries and territories across six continents. Leading in the number of nominators are scientists from the Americas with 30.3%, followed by Asia (28.6%), Africa (9.5%), and Oceania (6.8%). Top Chef Vietnam 2023 launched
The reality TV show Top Chef Vietnam 2023 was officially launched on May 22 in Ho Chi Minh City aiming to introduce Vietnamese cuisine to a global audience. The main judge of Top Chef Vietnam 2023, Alain Nguyen, chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Chefs Association Le Hanh, CEO of TVHUB Joint Stock Company, emphasised that the programme has been a huge success in more than 24 countries over the past decade, and the Vietnamese version is expected to bring unique Vietnamese culinary culture to the world. Do Van Su, deputy director general of the Foreign Investment Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment Last week, Do Van Su, deputy director general of the Foreign Investment Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, said the quality and quantity of foreign-headed projects have improved in recent years. “Although the number of large-scale projects has decreased due to the impact of many factors, the quantity of projects overall sees an average increase of 16-19 per cent per year. The average capital of projects is $16 million,” he said. Statistics published by Su’s agency showed that in the first four months of 2023, Vietnam attracted 750 newly registered projects, 386 added-capital projects, and 1,044 paid-in capital, signifying increases of 65.2, 19.5, and 1.8 per cent on-year, respectively. Dai Nai Primary and Secondary School were the recipients of 100 scholarships worth $2,130 The Charity Scholarship Award Ceremony was held by VIR in Ha Tinh and Nghe An provinces on May 18-19, and was part of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Planning and Investment's (MPI) annual working trip to Ho Chi Minh's hometown.
