The release of the book is part of activities to celebrate the 93rd founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3) and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Central Steering Committee for Prevention and Control of Corruption and Negative Phenomena (February 1). The book presents directions of Nguyen Phu Trong as the Party leader and head of the steering committee in a systematic manner. With nearly 100 photos, the 600-page book comprises three parts presented in a modern press style. The first part focuses on issues drawn from the fight against corruption and negative phenomena in Vietnam. The second introduces 22 articles on Party building and rectification by the Party chief . Speaking at the event, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council Hoang Thi Thuy Lan said that during his visit to the province on March 2, 1963, President Ho Chi Minh asked for efforts to turn Vinh Phuc into one of the richest and most prosperous provinces in the Northern region. Over the past six decades, Vinh Phuc has developed from an agriculture-based to an industrial province – an automobile and motorbike manufacturing center of the country, and a locality leading in the cause of industrialization and modernization. In the 1997-2022 period, the province's average annual economic growth rate hit 13.27%. Administrative reform must center on people, enterprises: Prime Minister
At the meeting, connected with 63 provinces and centrally-run cities via videoconference, participants reviewed the obtained results, pointed out shortcomings and difficulties, and proposed focal solutions and tasks for promoting the work. The Prime Minister, who is also head of the steering committee, said administrative reform was identified by the Party and State as one of the targeted strategic breakthroughs. Changes in villages From a mountainous commune of hardship of Huong Hoa district with poor infrastructure, low income and living standards, Huong Lap has witnessed many positive changes. The infrastructure of Huong Lap commune has been upgraded, while rural roads, healthcare stations, spacious schools have been built. Every villager is very delighted at those changes. Cu Bai village of Huong Lap commune has 128 households with 598 residents, of whom the Van Kieu ethnic group people account for more than 96%. Previously, thanks to the State’s investment, the village built an inter-village road; however, the road was heavily damaged by rain and floods. Learning about the situation, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Huong Lap commune have mobilized resources to build a road to the village, enabling vehicles to travel more easily.
