Party congress

This is an activity to promote information dissemination on the basic contents of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, contributing to bringing the Resolution to life; while at the same time discovering and praising exemplary ways in the organisation of the implementation of the Party’s Resolution. “"Bringing the Party's Resolution to Life” is a contest for reporters, editors and collaborators whose works reflect the implementation of the 13th National Party Congress broadcast on VOV or on radio and television stations in provinces and cities across the country. All entries must be submitted no later than September 30, 2021. Meanwhile, “The Party in my life” is a multiple-choice and essay contest, open to all Vietnamese individuals living at home and abroad, and for foreigners living and working in Vietnam. The contest will start from March 1 to July 31, 2021. There are 13 questions, including 12 multiple choice questions and an essay question, with a focus on learning the basic contents of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress. On the same day, the VOV also organised a virtual information training workshop on the results of the 13th National Party Congress for more than 200 officials, reporters and editors of VOV and more than 20 radio and television stations in the North. …

We will have about 20 years more in this period and we need to fully exploit this potential. Vietnam also has a big population so we have the potential for remarkable growth in the coming period. However, we also have limitations. First, Vietnam is among the countries with the high population aging rate and the golden population period is very short compared to other countries. The second drawback is that there is an indicator relating to a country's socio-economic potential when it reaches its population peak. If we take the US with 100 points, Singapore 146 points, then Vietnam has only about ten points. Those in attendance also included Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba Le Thanh Tung, Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Nicolas Hernandez, Interim Ambassador of the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam Irmina del Pilar alongside representatives from the two nations' foreign ministries. Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son briefed the participants on the domestic situation, including the outstanding results of the 13th National Party Congress, COVID-19 response measures, and efforts to ensure socio economic development and social security. He affirmed that Vietnam always attaches great importance to and wishes to continue deepening the special traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Cuba. Deputy FM Marcelino Medina Gonzalez, in turn, informed about the Cuban situation and a range of measures to remove difficulties caused by the embargo and the COVID-19 pandemic, and carry out the updating of socio-economic development models. Both sides reviewed the areas of bilateral cooperation and discussed measures to further develop a deeper and more comprehensive bilateral relationship in the time ahead. They agreed to continue to work closely to intensify high-level exchange visits when conditions permit, effectively implement cooperation mechanisms, and strengthen exchanges between ministries, sectors and the business community in an effort to promote trade and investment cooperation in areas such as food security, education, health, science - technology, culture, sports and tourism.
