Referring to gambling crimes, online gambling and betting organizations have been complicated and unpredictable, deputy Pham Van Hoa from the Mekong Delta Province of Dong Thap wondered why the police force has handled many cases, but this situation has not improved. According to deputy Pham Van Hoa, it is time to allow the implementation of Decree 06/2017/ND-CP on the business of betting on horse racing, greyhound racing, and international football for stricter management as localities can collect tax from such businesses and limit online betting. National Assembly delegate calls for legalizing sports betting
In a National Assembly questioning session for Minister of Public Security To Lam, delegate Pham Van Hoa said online gambling crimes and crime rings occur and operate in a complex manner, despite the best police efforts. "I believe it is time for our country to put into practice the Decree on the Business of Betting on Horse Racing, Greyhound Racing and International Soccer for better management and taxation, while also limiting online betting," said Hoa. Ho Duc Phoc, Minister of Finance, said such a decree had already been issued in 2017 while the finance ministry had issued a related circular. In 2020, the prime minister also approved an initiative for a horse racecourse in Hanoi's Soc Son District. However, due to multiple difficulties, the plan has yet to be put into practice. Japan funds deep-sea port expansion in Cambodia

Accordingly, Cambodian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn and Japanese Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa signed a diplomatic note and relevant documents to extend the loan worth 41.39 billion JPY (300 million USD) for the first stage of the project. It its statement, the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said the loan will be used to expand and modernise the Sihanoukville port and turn it into a major deep-water port in Cambodia and the region. Thailand steps up efforts for closer rail links with Laos, China

According to Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob, the committee to connect railways between the three countries has approved the guidelines for related organisations and requested the Department of Highways to ask for a budget to study the construction of a new bridge across the Mekong River for both cars and trains. The committee approved orders for the State Railway of Thailand to hasten construction of the Bangkok - Nong Khai high-speed railway, and proposed the Khon Kaen - Nong Khai dual-track railway project to the Cabinet.
