French President Francois Hollande on November 13th joined a commemoration ceremony at the Bataclan concert hall to mark one year since the Paris terrorist attacks, in which 130 people were killed. President Hollande and Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo unveiled two plaques at the doors of the Bataclan, where 90 people were killed during an Eagles of Death Metal concert. The plaque shows the name of a passer-by who was killed in one of the explosions. During the course of the day, similar plaques were unveiled at the five other sites where attacks took place. The other sites include the restaurants and bars Carillon, Petit Cambodge, Bonne Biere, Comptoir Voltaire, Belle Equipe and the music hall Bataclan, which British singer Sting reopened on the evening of November 12th with a concert in honour of the victims. (VOVworld) - Belgian authorities have announced the arrest of a ninth suspect linked to last month's Paris attacks, a man they say had been in contact with the suspected ringleader's cousin. The Belgian federal prosecutor's office said the suspect, whose full name was not disclosed but who was referred to as Abdoullah C, 30 years old, is being held on charges of taking part in a terrorist group and terrorist murders. His arrest occurred Tuesday, the prosecutor's office said. Four arrested in French terror attack, Paris prosecutor says
Four people have been arrested in connection with the terror attack Friday on an Air Products & Chemicals Inc. gas plant near Lyon in southeastern France in which one person was decapitated and two were injured. A suspect, identified as Yassin Salhi, his wife, sister and another person are being questioned, Paris Prosecutor Francois Molins said at a press conference. "The victim was the chief of a transport company where Yassin S. had been employed since March 2015," he said. The attacker beheaded the man and posted the severed head on a fence at the factory’s entrance with two flags carrying inscriptions in Arabic, before driving into the plant at high speed and ramming into gas cannisters.
