Nine people died and another 40 were taken to nearby hospitals, while 30 other worshippers remained unaccounted for, Jorge Cuéllar, spokesman for the Security Ministry of Tamaulipas state, which borders Texas. AB Mauri’s business development strategy amid rising inflation
CEO Tran Huu Dat, General Director of AB Mauri Vietnam. Photo courtesy of AB Mauri Vietnam What are your thoughts on the domestic and foreign economies during this period of inflation? In terms of the global economy, everyone expects 2023 to be a boom year following the strong rebound of 2022. However, this year has proven to be more difficult than expected. Vietnam has been a part of the international market for many years; therefore, it is difficult to avoid being affected by these issues, even though domestic inflation is a little slower than in other countries. One of Vietnam's advantages is that it has well-controlled inflation compared to the high rates in the United States and Europe. This has resulted in a significant drop in the domestic consumer price level in the first seven-month period of 2023. This is a positive indicator, demonstrating the government's efforts through the recent implementation of domestic inflation control strategies. Furthermore, this is … [Read more...] about AB Mauri’s business development strategy amid rising inflation
Hanoi’s student apartments ‘hungry’ for tenants
Nguyen Thi Tuoi, a 64-year-old woman living in the district, recently finished a five-story building with 41 rooms for rent after a year of construction. In order to meet the high standards of renters, she decided to fully furnish the rooms with beds, closets, desks, chairs, air conditioners, and private bathrooms. She also installed a fire alarm system that is up to standards inside the building. She plans to fix the price of rent at VND3 million (US$123) per month. The idea of starting a rental business came to her at the beginning of 2022, when she saw that there was high demand from students of FPT University and Vietnam National University Hanoi, especially because many nearby rentals were nearly full. Deputy director of the Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Van Ba Son said many tourism products and services of the province had been introduced to Indian partners during a four-day event in Mumbai city in mid-September. Businesses and travel associations from both sides also reached an agreement on cooperation in exchanging guests, opening up more attractive development opportunities for the tourism industries of the two countries in the future. “We chose India because this country is in the top 10 largest international tourist markets in Vietnam. The number of Indian tourists coming here is increasing, the two countries also have many similarities in culture and religion and both have advantages in developing cultural tours,” Son said. … [Read more...] about New approaches in Vietnam’s tourism

(Photo: VNA) HCM City (VNA) – The S&P Global Vietnam Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) posted 49.7 in September, compared to 50.5 in August, despite the second successive monthly increase in new orders. S&P Global said that after improving in August, overall business conditions in the Vietnamese manufacturing sector declined marginally in September. Underlying data pointed to a strengthening demand environment and growing business confidence, but also a degree of spare capacity in the sector which led to reductions in output and employment. Rates of inflation gathered pace, with both input costs and output prices rising more quickly at the end of the third quarter. The PMI stood at 49.7 points in September, back below the 50.0 no-change mark following a reading of 50.5 in August.
