“UK ready to boost CPTPP’s economic firepower”: UK Trade Minister
UK Minister of State The Rt Hon Gregory Hands of the Department for International Trade arrived in Hanoi on February 1 to hold high level trade talks on how the UK joining the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) will boost the economic firepower of the world’s most dynamic trade bloc. Fighting boldly and bravely, the Vietnamese armed forces ground down the enemy’s strength, destroyed and damaged a lot of the enemy means of warfare, dealt a great blow to the U.S. troops on the battlefield in Vietnam, reduced the position and influence of the Saigon government and troops, and shocked Washington’s senior leaders. On March 30, 1968, General Westmoreland, Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Army in Vietnam arrived in Saigon to disseminate the U.S. government's policy of "De-Americanizing” the war. Da Nang promotes food into unique tourism product
A convergence of local specialties and those of nearby provinces and foreign countries, Da Nang is considered as a representative of the rich culinary heritage of Vietnam. Some of must-try dishes include banh xeo (Vietnamese pancake), mi Quang (Quang noodles), Banh trang cuon thit heo (sliced pork rolled with rice paper), goi ca Nam O (Nam O fish salad), among others. According to the municipal Department of Tourism, there are now more than 4,000 dining establishments and 200 restaurants in the city. Of this, over 2,000 small- and medium-sized ones specialise in dishes of all regions of Vietnam. Vietnamese striker Nguyen Tien Linh included in Asia’s Best Footballer 2022 nominee list
Vietnamese striker Nguyen Tien Linh has been listed among the 25 nominees for the Best Footballer in Asia 2022 award organized by Titan Sports newspaper of China. Linh is one of three Southeast Asian players competing for the award. The other two regional nominees are Thai defender Theerathon Bunmathan and Singaporean striker Ikhsan Fandi. Among other nominees are many superstars such as Son Heung Min of South Korea, Kaoru Mitoma of Japan, and Mehdi Taremi of Iran. According to Titan Sports, Linh played consistently and won the top scorer title of the 2022 AFF Cup. In the historic 3-1 victory over China in the third qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup, the Vietnamese striker performed well, scoring a goal to extend Vietnam’s lead.
